ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine involving the insertion of hair-thin acupuncture needles into the skin at specific points on the body to achieve a therapeutic effect. No drug is injected. No side-effects. Acupuncture is a safe and effective method to encourage natural healing, enhance mood and energy, reduce or relieve pain and suffering, improve function of affected areas of the body, restore balance of the body's vital energy which promotes health.

Herbal Therapy (Traditional Chinese Medicine - TCM)

Chinese Medicine Herb

Herbal therapy, next to dietary therapy, is perhaps the most widely used Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment modality. TCM relies on herbal therapies both for the treatment of illness and in the optimization of health and prevention of disease.

There are 5,767 medicinal substances currently in use, including plant, animal, and mineral substances.

Moxibustion therapy

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a traditional therapeutic technique used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that involves the controlled application of heat to specific acupuncture points and areas of the body using dried mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris).

The gentle warmth generated during treatment is used to support circulation, promote relaxation, and complement acupuncture therapy as part of an individualized treatment plan. Moxibustion is commonly incorporated into TCM treatments to support overall wellness and help address patterns of imbalance identified through TCM assessment.

Patients often describe moxibustion as a comfortable and deeply relaxing treatment experience. Depending on the individual's needs, moxibustion may be used alone or in combination with acupuncture and other TCM therapies.

At our clinic, moxibustion treatments are provided according to professional safety standards and tailored to each patient's specific health concerns and treatment goals.

Common Reasons Patients Choose Moxibustion

  • Sensitivity to cold
  • Muscle tension and stiffness
  • General fatigue and low energy
  • Digestive health concerns
  • Stress-related tension
  • Wellness and preventative health support
  • Complementary support alongside acupuncture treatment

Please consult with your practitioner to determine whether moxibustion therapy is appropriate for your individual health concerns

cupping therapy

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a traditional treatment technique commonly used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.  During treatment, specialized cups are placed on the skin to create gentle suction. This suction helps stimulate local circulation, release muscle tension, and promote relaxation.

Cupping therapy is often used alongside acupuncture and other therapeutic approaches as part of a personalized treatment plan. Many patients choose cupping therapy to help manage muscle tightness, sports-related recovery, and stress-related physical tension.

Circular marks may appear on the skin after treatment. These marks are a normal response to cupping therapy and typically fade within several days to two weeks, depending on the individual.

At our clinic, cupping therapy is performed according to professional safety and hygiene standards and is tailored to each patient's individual needs.

Common Reasons Patients Choose Cupping Therapy

  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Back pain and muscle tightness
  • Sports-related muscle recovery
  • Stress-related physical tension
  • Muscle stiffness and restricted movement
  • General wellness and relaxation support

Please consult with your practitioner to determine whether cupping therapy is appropriate for your individual health concerns

Gua Sha therapy

Gua Sha is a traditional therapeutic technique used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. During treatment, a smooth-edged tool is gently applied to the skin using repeated strokes along specific areas of the body. This technique is commonly used alongside acupuncture and other TCM therapies as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Gua Sha is often used to help relieve muscle tension, improve local circulation, and promote relaxation. Many patients find it beneficial for neck and shoulder tension, back discomfort, sports-related muscle tightness, and stress-related physical symptoms.

Temporary redness or small red-purple marks may appear on the treated area following treatment. These marks are a normal response and typically fade within several days.

At our clinic, Gua Sha treatments are tailored to each patient’s individual needs and are performed according to professional safety and hygiene standards.

Common Reasons Patients Choose Gua Sha

  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Back muscle tightness
  • Sports-related muscle recovery
  • Stress-related physical tension
  • Headaches associated with muscle tension
  • General wellness and relaxation support

Please consult with your practitioner to determine whether Gua Sha is appropriate for your individual health concerns

TUI NA mAssage therapy

Tui Na (pronounced “twee-nah”) is a traditional hands-on therapy used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Through a combination of massage techniques, acupressure, stretching, and joint mobilization, Tui Na aims to promote relaxation, improve mobility, and support the body's natural healing processes.

Unlike relaxation massage, Tui Na is guided by Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and is often used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. It may be performed alone or combined with acupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, or other TCM therapies.

Tui Na treatment is tailored to each individual's needs and may focus on specific areas of tension, discomfort, or restricted movement. Many patients find it beneficial for musculoskeletal concerns, stress-related tension, and overall wellness support.

At our clinic, Tui Na therapy is provided according to professional standards and customized to help support each patient's health and wellness goals.

Common Reasons Patients Choose Tui Na

  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Back pain and muscle tightness
  • Joint stiffness and reduced mobility
  • Sports-related muscle strain and recovery
